SOC2 is a relatively new, international standard, specifically aimed at service delivery from IT service providers. The report offers existing and potential clients insight into the quality of the Managed Services, which Davinci offers as SaaS. The SOC2 Type 1 Assurance report differs from other, more traditional certifications, in the sense that it’s more elaborate, validated annually and performed by an independent third party.
Michiel van Loef, manager of Davinci Services, on the SOC2 Type 1 Assurance report: “Davinci has opted for the most thorough review regarding SOC2 principles; security, availability, processing integrity and confidentiality. Being able to offer an independent evaluation is not just important for customers, but also for the accountability towards supervisors DNB and AFM. By finalising this phase, Davinci is one of the first Dutch parties that can offer clients an assurance report as such.”
Supplementary to the SOC2 Type 1 Assurance report, the next phase will ensue in the first quarter of 2017, the SOC2 Type 2 Assurance report. This audit too will be performed by BDO.
The entire SOC2 Type 1 Assurance report is available (for internal usage) for the current and prospective service recipients of Davinci.
